Eduardo Alfredo Favret has a PhD in Physics (University of Buenos Aires, Argentina). He is a research scientist at the Institute of Soils (INTA) and CONICET, Professor of Material Science at the Institute of Technology “Jorge Sábato”, UNSAM – CNEA. The main topic of his research work is Biomimetics, functional properties of biological surfaces. He was the chief editor of the book “Functional Properties of Bio-inspired Surfaces: Characterization and Technological Applications”, 2009 (World Scientific Publishing Company, USA). In 2015 he got an USA patent “Modified Surface Topography for an Agricultural Tool”. He won the Big Prize INNOVAR 2017 for the project “Biomimetic surface for agricultural tools”, and the Innovation Prize in Agricultural Technology CiTA 2019 for the project Biomimetic Surface.
