Hello, my name is Kendall Trellue. I am a soon-to-be junior studying nuclear engineering at the University of New Mexico. During my time in high school, I was a part of the local FRC robotics team where I designed mechanisms that earned our team fourth place in the world. This experience boosted my motivation and desire to make a positive impact on the world. I became interested in nuclear engineering after I attended a seminar mentioning microreactors in space, prompting me to research nuclear reactors and nuclear fusion extensively. Inspired by the potential of nuclear fusion as an energy source and the idea of exploring space, I set my sights on becoming a nuclear engineer with a focus on using nuclear power for various space applications. During my freshman year, I connected with a professor at UNM working in fusion material science. Although not exactly aligned with my dream, this opportunity provides valuable knowledge for my future endeavors. My ultimate goal is to assist humankind in becoming a multi-planetary species. I am an inventor, a creator, a visionary, and most importantly, a kind person dedicated to advancing technology and making my dream a reality.
