Adan Mireles is a current PhD student at Rice University. As a member of the Han Lab research group, Adan has the privilege of studying materials at the atomic level, utilizing state-of-the-art S/TEM and SEM techniques for material characterization. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering with a minor in Physics from the University of Texas at El Paso, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and secured an Honors degree from University Honors Program in May 2022. The National GEM Consortium honored him with the GEM Employer Fellowship, sponsored by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), to facilitate his graduate studies.
