Darrin Leonhardt, PhD,, Chief Innovation Officer at Euclid Techlabs, LLC.
Dr. Leonhardt received his PhD degree in Chemical Physics from the University of Maryland studying collision dynamics then spent 12 years at the US Naval Research Laboratory in Washington DC as a plasma physicist, investigating plasmas and applications of plasmas in the processing of various materials. In 2007, Dr. Leonhardt transitioned into the industrial research world, working with multidisciplinary teams in various R&D and Innovation positions at Heraeus Noblelight America (formerly Fusion UV Systems). At Heraeus, he led global teams in developing customer-based solutions for APAC and the Americas, providing UV light systems based on solid state and plasma-based technologies. Since late 2020, he has been the Chief Innovation Officer at Euclid Techlabs, an award-winning R&D company that tackles difficult problems in the high energy physics and electron microscopy world. Dr. Leonhardt has co-authored of hundreds if technical presentations and papers while being awarded dozens of international patents.
