Ann Chiaramonti is a materials research engineer at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Boulder, CO. She received her Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering from Northwestern University, and completed a postdoctoral research appointment in the Materials Science Divison at Argonne National Laboratory before joining the Material Measurement Laboratory at NIST. She is an experimentalist and her research experience includes various electron, photon, and ion based microscopy techinques for imaging, diffraction, and chemical analysis.
