Dr. Swapnil Morankar is a postdoctoral researcher in the Advanced Characterization and Post-irradiation Examination Division of the Idaho National Laboratory. Dr. Morankar works on three-dimensional characterization of materials using X-ray computed tomography. He also has experience with mechanical behavior of materials, digital image analysis, and biomimetic materials.

Dr. Morankar holds bachelors and masters degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India. He joined INL in 2023, right after receiving his Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from Purdue University.
