My microscopy journey begins with photography. Having learned black and white darkroom photography in highschool, I continued into college majoring in advertising photography. Finding it was not quite for me I changed majors and settled into photographic sciences, with a focus in microscopy. A summer internship with Zeiss at the Marine Biology Lab in Woods Hole, MA introduced me to the practical applications of microscopy in biological research. Soon after graduation I started my career at the microscopy core at the NYU Langone Grossman School of Medicine where I have been for 6 years.
