I am an experimental physicist, having completed my master in solid state physics in 2012 at the RWTH Aachen University in Germany, during which I worked with XRD and SAXS investigations for inorganic-organic hybrid materials (with work experience at the DESY in Hamburg, Germany). Since more than 10 years by now, I have been working in the domain of instrumental development based on charged particle optics. I obtained the degree of PhD in Physics (of accelerators) in 2016 from the University Paris Saclay (University Paris Sud d'Orsay). Currently, I am working as Research and Technology Associate at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and technology (LIST) within the group of Advanced Instrumentation for Nano-Analytics (AINA). In this function, I am involved in numerous projects of instrumental development for advanced nano-analytical purposes (academic and industrial). My work is related to electron/ion microscopy and chemical analysis with a special focus on focused ion beam (FIB) based secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS). I am mainly involved in the design of the needed optics, the conception of the hardware design in collaboration with our engineering team and the assembly/testing/troubleshooting and operation of the prototype instruments.
