Executive Director - Case School of Engineering SCSAM
Case Western Reserve University
Cleveland, OH, United States
After receiving my Ph.D. in Earth Sciences with a focus in high-pressure mineral physics from The Ohio State University in 2015, I spent three years at Case Western Reserve University in the Department of Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences as a National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow conducting high-pressure diffusion experiments to better understand deformation in Earth’s inner core. Then, I moved to Los Alamos National Laboratory as an Agnew National Security Postdoctoral Fellow in the Shock and Detonation Physics Group. Since June 2020, I have been working to advance the materials characterization capabilities at the Swagelok Center for Surface Analysis of Materials core facility in the School of Engineering at Case Western Reserve University, first as a Senior Research Engineer then as the Executive Director since 2021. My current research utilizes EBSD, TKD, T-EDS, and TSEM in geologic and metal samples.
